Students Kindergarten - 12th grade who live in our district boundaries will click on the Enrollment for Redford Union Schools Residents (1-12) section below. If you have a new kindergarten student click on the Kindergarten Registration section below.

Kindergarten Registration
Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023
What you need to enroll:
- Student’s ORIGINAL Birth Certificate
- Student’s Immunization Record
- Parent/Guardian Identification
- 3 Proofs of Residency-Current Lease or Mortgage Statement & 2 Bills

K-12 Enrollment Requirements for All Students
Redford Union Public Schools processes new student enrollments online. Students who will be attending Redford Union Public Schools for the first time must register by clicking the above MiStar Enrollment Link.
The laws of the state of Michigan state that a child's residence for educational purposes is where his/her parent/legal guardian legally resides.
Required Enrollment Documents:
A. Proof of Residency of Students K-12
- House Closing Papers or Mortgage Documents
- Apartment or House Rental Lease
- Deed
AND
- Two (2) Current Utility Bills (within 30 days)
B. Kindergarten Students
- Original Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records (up to date)
- Parent Driver's License/State ID or Proof of Parentage
- Court Ordered Guardianship Documents (if applicable)
- Current IEP/MET (for students receiving special education services)
- Health Appraisal
- 504 Plan (if applicable)
C. Students Grade 1-12
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records (up to date)
- Parent Driver's License/State ID or Proof of Parentage
- Court Ordered Guardianship Documents (if applicable)
- Latest Report Card / Unofficial Transcript
- Disciplinary/Behavior Report
- Current IEP/MET (for students receiving special education services)
- 504 Plan (if applicable)

Veritas Innovative/Alternative Ed High School (Grades 9-12)
ALL student interested in attending Veritas MUST contact Ms. Jain or Mr. Marable, of Veritas BEFORE beginning the registration process. Your registration will not be approved until they have spoken to you. A copy of your student's behavior record is required for the student interview. Please click the email link below. Redford Union Public Schools processes new student enrollments online. Students who have met with Mr. Marable or Ms Jain and have been accepted in to Veritas for the first time must register by clicking the Pre-Enrollment Link below.

Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)
Pre kindergarten Program
- Location: Hilbert Elementary School 26440 Puritan, Redford, MI 48239
- Free State funded preschool program for families who qualify.
- FULL DAY Program, M-TH. No class on Friday. Class hours: 8:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
- A short personal interview will determine if your family qualifies.
- Children must be 4 years old before/on September 1, 2023.
- 2023 gross annual income information is needed at time of interview.

Redford Union Schools will be registering for the following in the 23-24 School Year:
- All residents of the Redford Union School District
- GSRP Students in Wayne County
Required Documentation Needed to Register ALL STUDENTS.
Copy of the Lease, Mortgage or Deed
